Tetra Tech INCA provided design mapping and construction surveying for the widening of I-405 between SE 8th Street and 112th Ave NE. The design build project consisted of constructing a 1,200-foot-long bridge spanning I-90 and work on 3 existing bridges, adding new lanes in north and south bound directions of I-405. The project provided for the destruction of the Wilburton Tunnel which has long been a choke point at I-90. INCA surveyors staked new stormwater and detention facilities, all bridge work, and the tunnel take-down.
