The 2010 Bronze Award was awarded to INCA and client King County Metro Transit for the Burien Transit Center by ACEC Washington. Congratulations to the team and project manager Chuck Purnell. Elizabeth Morgan was on hand to collect the award for King County Metro.  INCA was the prime consultant to develop Burien’s Transit Center, which serves as a key mobility link for the Town Square downtown revitalization effort. The glass canopied transit center in the heart of Burien includes 8-bus bays, on-site layover space, a driver comfort station, supervisor’s office, and storage areas. The design blends aesthetics and function with future transit-oriented development, complements the downtown redevelopment area, and maximizes transit operations and parking capacity within a physically constrained site.

In addition this project has won the “Best Small Project of 09” by Northwest Construction.
