Coal Creek Parkway Improvements

Tetra Tech INCA was selected by King County to provide design engineering services for improvements to Coal Creek Parkway. This area was then annexed to the City of Bellevue and INCA continued to provide design and construction services under contract with the City. To reduce delays and significant cost overruns, INCA coordinated with the City to complete the design and incorporate their design philosophies and standards into the existing project design.

The improvements included retaining wall design for 14,000-square feet of welded wire wall and 8,500-square feet of soldier pile wall with cast-in-place concrete façade wall. Roadway improvements included grinding and overlaying of the existing asphalt; roadway widening; removal and replacement of the existing storm drainage systems; and construction of curb, gutters, sidewalks, bike lanes, turning pockets, traffic signals, illumination system, pavement markings, and stormwater mitigation facilities.
